New Splitter Design

Haven't even looked at pricing but from the processing issues combining this material with cf it won't be cheap. If I could bring it in around the 300 mark I would be tickled pink. Don't even know when it will or could happen best case would be a month to six weeks to never.

Joe, I really love the fact that you've stepped up and come up with a great design. What I'd personally like to see more than a new material is a version that's a bit more aggressive for us track junkies. The fact that the current version is better but not overly aggressive combined with the fact that I still have a spare cup splitter sitting there is why I haven't ordered the current version.
I'm not looking for some huge jobbie that extends so far that it needs additional supports hung from the bumper but I think an extra 1/2 inch of forward extension would make all the difference. I'd be a buyer no matter fiberglass and the current pricing or in a flexible material at $300-350.

Andy, adding a half inch or more is not a problem. All it means is a new mold. How do I cover a $2000.00 bill. I would have to sell 33 plus parts. I have no problem making another mold but need to recover my tooling costs which means orders.

I'm sure my friend and i would be in for a few CF flexi ones.

I thought this unit was much bigger than the cupcar unit. Are you guys saying it's not big enough still? It's 4 times the coverage of the OEM unit.
Having done some mass production low volume work, I know what Joe's speaking of. The cost to produce has to have a reward on the back end. A few of us saying "I'd buy one" doesn't cover the total recoup cost for such an investment.

Alternatively, if joe was able to secure some sort of sponsorship, he could setup a groupbuy for xx number of people.
People would commit and send a deposit. Once production was done, the balance would be paid.
I, however, am happy with the current version. I wish it was some sort of plastic, but am in no position to be making and sort of suggestions or complaints.

Joe, the problem with our cars is that, even if it's very easy to add rear down force by installing one of the many after-market big wings, there are a limited number of options to balance this out in the front. A Crawford splitter is > $2000, so not an option for me, and I suspect for many.
Your current offering is a step in the right direction, and that's why I purchased 3, but I would gladly go bigger still... at reasonable cost.
Judging by the response to your splitter, and by what has happened on the 997 side of the house, there is another product that would sell like hot cakes... decent-size dive planes.
These should be easy to fabricate, and seem to be an easy way to add a bit of front down force.
The ones pictured in my signature are minimal, and I doubt that they add anything, but hey, they were the fashion statement of 2012

Seb, do they fit the contour of the 996 fenders? I thought that the fenders were different, and that the flicks were therefore not interchangeable.
