easier to put wheel on.
have your wheel ever fall off on your foot while you try to locate the first bolt?
also, if you run different offset of if you run different wheels (EX: BBS wheel centers are MUCH MUCH thicker than most wheels) you will not have to worry about length of studs (i run very long studs), while with bolts, u run into issues of thread engagement.

Probably the most important positive attribute of studs over bolts is that when you do screw them up (ie damage the threads) you throw away a $10 stud and nut and not a whole spindle (or whatever that thing that all the bolts/studs are mounted into is called).

I get the convenience of studs.. But I have only heard of people w/ failing studs (I am guessing mostly from error in torquing the stud during install, nonetheless..), but not failing bolts.. that's why I am not so sure about moving to studs..

If you don't change your tires over a lot then it's probably not a big deal. If you do you'll love them.
I have never had an issue on any of five different Porsches I have converted. Nor have I heard of any breaking but if you have then that would be reason for concern.

Three Wheelin'
The Volk T-37 wheels are great. I have them on my car and have used them for a few DE seasons. The only downside is the weights always seem to fall off no matter how they are put on. This has been brought up in the past. That said I would still recommend the wheels.

but
just put a small strip of the metallic duct tape over the weights and it works perfectly
do not confuse this metallic duct tape with the more common gluie very strong duct tape - do not use this stuff
i have never had an issue under any track condition when a tiny bit of this tape over the wheel weights comes off - and you can pull it off in 1 second with no effort

cfjan,
I've had the t.c. kline studs on my car for 2 years now. No issues. Over 65 track days.
I think the rash of stud failuers was related to another manufacturer and poor quality.
As mentioned earlier it's much easier to replace a broken stud at the track than a cross treaded hub.

Paul, you could try it if you wanted to take a drive out to Georgetown. You could take your car here, or are welcome to come pick up a wheel to try it.
