Default F1 at Circuit of the Americas anyone?

I just heard tickets for the F1 event at Circuit of the Americas in Texas are going on sale June 10th.

And there's a rumor PCA has 1500 seats reserved.

I'll be there.

I'd really like to go. However, there are 2 things working against me going. Our region's annual 3-day VIR event is that same weekend AND the F1 event needs to show it the world it can go off without a hitch (most importantly transportation). I just have a feeling it's going to be a huge cluster F the first year.

I'm with you on this one. Despite wanting to go really badly, I'm thinking next year is the year to go.

Have they announced pricing? I was talking to Loren of 911 Designs an he said that initially they were looking for a $$$ annual membership before you could even buy tickets...

Yes pricing is on the website. Problem is, they're selling memberships and those with memberships get to pick premium seating first. I was told by someone in Austin to expect $300-600 for grandstand seating.

The end prices aren't that bad. If you need to do it on the cheap you can get general admission for 3 days for as low as ~$150.

Still not convinced I'm going first year.

Agreed. The kinks need to be worked out the first year. I'll be spending my money on a Moto GP ticket this year at Laguna.
