Default moton club sports vs kw club sport

I am considering either motons vs kw club sports. I currently only do DE events but would like to progress to racing at some point. Could I get some imput on advantages and disadvantages of the two. Is the increased price for motons worth it? Thanks!

The trick is to find a reputable shop that understands the product and can "dial in" your car for you... I would personally find the shop first, and then use the brand that they are expert in... (Moton, MCS, Penske, JW, etc.)

IMHO, yes, Motons are worth the difference in price over the KW's if you will race the car.

Was going to suggest the same thing. You can't just bolt these on and forget about them.

Also JRZ and Motion Control.

Thanks for the input. Any pearls of wisdom on dialing them in? Any pitfalls to watch out for?

Good advice Blake.

You don't want another GT car with a 6k suspension that drives worse than stock.
Plenty of those around.

If you want the KW, get if from Manthey.
They will charge you 30-40% more, but you 'll get for "free" something that you can't possibly replicate alone.
The settings.

Best,

My car came with KW's. I drove GT3's w/ stock shocks, KW's and Motons while shopping. On the street you can tell the difference b/w the stock and the performance shocks (both brands). But I can't tell you how they compare on the track. I just did my first track event on the KW's and the suspension seemed pretty good, but I'm nowhere near being able to drive the car (coming from a 944). A friend who races a Cup took the car out and said it was good, but oversteered more than his liking. I don't think that's a shock issue. All that said - I agree that your relationship with your mechanic may be the bigger factor in the choice. Shocks are only 1 part of suspension setup.

Thanks for the advice. Not familiar with Manthey. Are they a vendor on rennlist? I am in the northwest, do they have outlets in the area?

You should snag these since you will have a new suspension going in. https://rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-...brand-new.html

MCS = Motion Control Suspension, it's the people that made Moton great.
The new company MCS has all the best of the old Moton's and then some new great features, plus the support of Lex and Kent which have 30+ years experience in the shock business.

Call Lex at MCS and he will set you up with a good dealer close to your location that will be able to properly set up and install as needed. I could sell them to you, as well as a number of others here on RL, but you really want someone close to your local with the proper P-car install experience. Lex know's his dealers well, travels to races and see's who is doing what and who knows how to do which type of car set ups.
