So what do we do about rear rotors?

That's what I'm running, 997Cup rears, which are about the only motorpsort part I've seen that costs more than stock (?)

85Gold - if you have PCCB's you can use the appropriate 997 rears no problem - and the 997 cup and 997 turbos rear discs look identical... except for the writing on the sticker..
I think you might want to change pads if you swap to steel discs though, I am not at all certain about the compatibility of pccb pads to steel rotors.

7_3s wear rear brakes much faster. I think it's all the driver nannies kicking in an wearing them down. ![ducking](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/icon107.gif)
I can run a set of rear rotors (and pads) 2-3-4 X longer than fronts. They barely show wear. I'm hoping my giant wing will assist with the rear brake bias. bwahahahaah.

Thanks
Been super busy with non-car stuff. A friend just bought a 6-GT3 and needs some parts so I popped on here to see what the current scoop is on rotors. Need much more time to have a look around here and see what has changed.
Cheers,

I run TC off (don't have psm) and my rotors wear pretty quickly. Not so much the face itself, but more cracking between the holes. They start cracking on the first day, and go down hill from there.
So if I'm understanding this correctly...
The front rotors are interchangeable on the 997 and 996's. Well, I'm actually certain of that because that's all I've run on my car is 996 cup rotors, and then subsequently the ATE's.
However, the rears on my car are bigger than the 996 steel rotors?
I'd really like to find a solid or slotted rear option.

People in h*ll want ice water. If you wanted rear rotors to last you should have gotten a 6GT3.

Agreed. In retrospect the 996 is a better track car. Cheaper buy in, cheaper consumables, better tire choices, etc.... Hind sight is 20/20. I was coming out of a 996 so I wanted a fresher appearance in and out.

Not sure... One thing I am sure of though is that I'm faster at Sebring in my stock 7.1 than a certain heavily modified 996 who's driver receives professional coaching on a regular basis. Just saying.... ![ducking](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/icon107.gif)
