Haha, I know. They let me know they were cooked when I checked them a few sessions later, and the wires from the carcass were sticking out of the tire on the inside. No rubber wear, just the wire sticking out of the inside sidewall???

I've got a set as well and have had good performance from them on the track. They're beautifully made and finished. The fronts weigh 18.9 lb and the rears weigh 21.1 lb. The wheels only cost a few hundred more than the Hoosiers that were mounted on them! As for aesthetics, I'm not particularly fond of any of the aftermarket wheels for these cars, but I like these at least as well as any of the others. But for the price, their light weight, and their record of holding up very well, I'm happy with the purchase and would buy another set if I wanted more wheels.

I like the way they look on your car.

what tire sizes are you guys running on those rims ?
I am tempted to buy a set in order to be able to buy some nitto tires but can you mount the NT-01 315 in the rear on the 10.5 inch rim ?

Have been running Hoosiers as follows:

245/40 front = fine
315/30 rear = a bit too wide for the wheels. Tires are wearing "round" at the shoulders. Will try 295/30 next spring.

My rear wheels are 11 inches wide BTW.

Always wanted a pair, but, i'm waiting for a set of BBS E88's to pop up

My RUF wheels are made by OZ, they are the 3 piece variant and ROCK SOLID.. They do make amazing quality products/wheels!

Hmmm. I have the same wheels and tires and mine are wearing just fine. And I know of many others running 11 in. wide wheels in the rear with Hoosier 315s (not just OZ wheels), and I'm not aware of any odd wear issues. What sort of rear camber do you have? If I recall, I'm at -3.5 front and (I think) -2.7 rear. And I'm targeting about 38 psi hot for the rear. How about you?

Similar camber (-2.9), but a bit less pressure. Approx 36psi hot. I corded the first set, and the second is rounded a bit again, inside and out...? These were my first sets, and the rears looked a bit rounded, just enough to make me want to try 295 next.

Nothing dramatic, just not as flat as I expected.

Could be my driving however??

For the same price of a used set of GT3 OEM rims, would you buy a new set of OZ alleggerita or the used set of OEM ? I am on the fence and really need some rims to b able to mount Nitto 315 in the rear.

I found a set of used e88 BBS that are roughly $4.5k and though I think they've been treated well, a brand new set of OZ alleg cost $3.5k - I'm planning to run the easily available michelin 18" and don't 'need' the setup flexibility of the 3 piece really - would you still choose the BBS? I need to have the BBS checked for trueness but I'm pretty sure they're fine as the guy has a 944T and a 7RS race cars and a GT2 dd with his own mechanic but I tend to prefer the unused option considering how much wheels are exposed to in racing.

A bit personal really, and depends what you have currently and what you need. Both OEM and the OZ' are the same width, well the GT3 ones anyway (8.5" & 11").

OZ' are much lighter, OEMs I would assume to be bullet-proof... but then again, no one's been complaining about breaking the OZ'.

There's something to be said for buying brand spanking new...
