Tom, the radiator wasn't that dirty as I do have grill mesh / guard on my car.. (previous owner had them installed) So there's nothing too nasty there! I also don't use it in bad weather, etc.

I did hose down the radiators when the bumper was off.. and use vacuum to suck up anything that can be sucked up..

Here's a couple more pics.. !!

You car looks super clean. I have to scrub for days to get all the track worm marks off of my bumpercover. I think there is a better double sided tape though. The one you have looks thick. There is a thinner one that body shops use.

It shouldn't be that hard; Meguiars Cleaner Wax is the ticket; its very mild, and the marks come right off, either by hand, or by random orbital buffer (Porter Cable 7424); seriously; no need for anything harsher.

re: tape; its pretty thin, I think I simply applied it too close to the front of the bumper; you can place it further back. I bet there is some super duper body shop stuff, but this stuff is pretty darn sticky, plus IIRC 13 push pins; its secure

On the other hand...

ok it's been a while but here is the outline:

1. close bottom holes use a hard plastic sheet 4mm thick and rivets

2. Get a real RS bumper or draw outlets on the top of the bumper using a template and cut them (I can measure them for you) add a custom grill and glue it under the bumper.

3. order 2 x screws M8x65 if you want oem part number is 900 378 175 09

4. order two spacers 48mm long to use behind the radiator's top with the above screws oem part number 996 507 779 90

5. You will also need to put an extension spacer to the two rubber pipes that connect to the radiator ends parts from your local hardware store and /or two little rubber pipes from any car store (samco etc) if you don't want to cut them

6. because now the radiator is closer to the bumper you need to modify the center airduct so that it fits.
Or you can buy the 6GT2 airduct or the cup airduct.

Easy : )

Where can I get these radiator screens? I have a 2004 996 GT3 as well!
