Default Cat swap out

Is there a seal or gasket required if you drop the cat pipe and bolt up another replacement cat section? OEM to OEM. Or are the flanges just metal to metal?

911Slow, do you live in a Porsche parts store or something? I can see you up in the parts room on a cot surrounded by manuals with all your favorite parts stacked around you like toys!
Unreal. Thanks.
Oh, any guess why there is one there and not the Cat to muffler connection?
What I'm really saying is I wonder if I need one or if just buying NAPA muffler gasket material would suffice for that matter.
I might be doing some swapping a few times per season from OEM Cats to modded Cats.

You may consider using the Fabspeed copper gaskets. It looks to have better seal.

I 'm currently homeless.. : )

You don't need seals for the other connection as the type is different and the bracket used seals the joining tubes.

Mike

Tried the ones from FVD when I was still playing with cats in oem diameter...

Couldn't see a difference ..
