Pretty cool video..

How does it feel compare to street tires (PS-2, etc.)? Similar type of slip angle? (that you need to have more slip angle to generate the traction)

Default Just ordered a set from Discount Tire. AZ had a pair of 315's.

The site says they're backordered, but the rep I talked to 'found' a pair of the rears in AZ. This will be my first set of Nittos after the last two seasons on MPSC's. The Cups felt great for a couple of days and then just seemed to drop off quickly after that.

Definitely keep an eye on tire pressures. I don't go any higher than 38 hot at the rear. What pressures were you running?

Cheers,

Cheers,
~36-38 hot front and rear. I had to blead down to 36 two or three times during the weekend, so I'm pretty confident that they weren't getting way over 38.

I didn't find them greasy or going off, just slow (compared to Hoosiers) and not balanced with my setup. It might be a function of too much negative camber in the rear, too much spring, or not enough footprint - but for whatever reason, the rear was just not as planted as the front.

How are the NT01s on the street? Do they take a while to warm up like the R888?

It seems tire choices in GT2 sizes are limited... and since the Michelin Super Sport doesn't come any wider than a 285 (in 18"), I'm contemplating R888 or the Nittos... But I don't track...

Dumb move?

The 888s warm up within the first 500 meters..

Those of us with the 18" and using 315 + tires are doomed.. nothing better coming suitable for mixed street/track..

888s
nittos
RA1 what's left
Yokos
and another boat tire that I can't remember..

and for street only again it's PS2..

Great just great

The NT01s are kinda loud on the street as well, and that is over my GMG WC exhaust.

Eh, great...

So that leaves waiting for the PS3 (or Super Sport if they ever decide to make them wide enough)...

If only Bridgestone made the RE11 in a 18" 315...
