Default GT3 seats

Has anyone tried the Caravaggio Corvette seats from HERE.

The C5/6 GT Race seat looks exactly like the Recaro GT3 seat many of us use but the price is better.

I understand this place does nice work and was told that if they fit a Vette, they would fit a GT3 but know no more than that.

The C5/6 Leather Race seat looks nice too, if you look past the pink one shown.

Doing a Caravaggio Seats image search shows a lot of ideas.

Coming from the Vette world, several friends had the Carav's and they are beautiful, high quality seats.

LG Motorsports also sells a GT3 replica.

Those would be some of the obvious questions so that is why I was looking for someone who has used them.

Uh, replica seats of a Porsche Recaro GT3 bucket......pass.

Brand new Factory seats are $4500 from Suncoast. Replicas cost 1/4 of that. The ones in your link are $3600 a set. I'd buy used Genuine ones for that price before I'd even come close to new replicas.

I didn't want to pay the Porsche prices for seats, so I went w/ a pair of Sparco.. they are FIA certified and all that.. does not have the Porsche logo but I'm comfortable w/ its quality. And it is less than 1/2 the price compared to the Porsche seats..

Not leather, though.. it is cloth.. and the seat is more aggressive compared to the GT3 seats (deeper, more support)

I hear ya, John, the stock seats in the Vette leave much to be desired. I mounted up a Cobra Suzuka GT, (best fitting seat I've ever sat in for my 6'4" x 205lbs) and absolutely loved it, but the new owner wanted the seat so I'll need another...unless the new car has the Euro GT3s in it.

And you being one of the taller guys, how do find them? (sorry for the off-topic).

The oem seats are not perfect for my height.
But they are great seats nonetheless.. lightweight, offer good support, and can be used in a daily car..

Good condition used GT3 Recaro's are ideal, despite them raising the price 2x in the past four years on the new ones. I know, supply and demand or something.
This company makes a lot of seats and is not a "knockoff" business so when I was first shown them, presumably well made and a nearly indistinguishable seat from the factory ones at a pretty big savings, they seemed interesting.
I have a few friends who are looking, I have mine already when they were "affordable", a Suncoast purchase.

Seems like these could save maybe $1500 +/- new vs new and that is why I was wondering if anyone here has tried them. I understand this company is well known in the Corvette circles. I believe their quality is well known, just looking for any users here.

Also, if anyone has used GT3 Recaro's, let me know pls.

...they used to cost $2500 from suncoast. I have the seats and invoice to prove it! Prices went nuts in the last couple of years.

They did skyrocket indeed. That's why I am hoping for feed back on the Caravaggio Seats for a buddy.
These images of the C5/6 GT seats look pretty nice (might delete the Corvette logo).

Just hoping someone tried them in a GT3 or a Corvette friend perhaps. Even if you only save $1000, if they are quality and you can actually get them color matched, it could be an option.

Caravaggio GT Race Seats Each $1,795.00
Painted Backs Each $200.00
The Caravaggio GT race seats are made for the racing tracks of life. They are a one piece bucket
that replace the stock seats and ride on the stock tracks. This allows the use of the stock track
to be maintained giving the seats an OEM appearance. All seats are constructed of fiberglass
and are finished in a black gel coat with the option of having the back of the seats painted to
match the exterior color. The top of the seat are wider giving added upper support when pushing
your Corvette through the corners. All seats are set up to handle a 5 point harness but because
these seats are a little narrower then our race seats we recommend you call us and see if they
will work for you. The seats are available in leather and Alcantara with your choice of stitching.
Available in model Year ’97-to present

They look lust like the GT3 seat but if I'm not mistaken gt3 seats carbon fiber and these are fiberglass

One of my favorite seats. Had the Recaro Pro Racer HANS XL in my RS America race car. I swear the "regular" size (non XL) are made for the short and skinny driver.

Nobody said they are knockoffs. But they ARE replicas. Sure, they are probably made very well and the materials and craftsmanship are top notch (they better be for the price). But, are they crash tested? FIA aproved? etc? I doubt it. Maybe for bling street cruising but not for the track.

My guess is (just like the RS Wing) that they don't make them for stock anymore and rather build to order or ship very low quantities to the states.

The GT3 buckets are not CF.
