Default Featherlite trailer.....

Anyone on here use a model 3110 Featherlite? If so, can 996 GT3 be towed with 14' trailer or is 17.5' needed?

Thanks!

I just bought that same model (14') and it works great. Another local 996 gt3 owner has one too and not only was it great, but it was just the right size he put it in his garage with the car on it!

Mine also has a tire rack.

That slope gets really scary the more I look back But I need that trailer in order to carry both the 944 spec and GT3 comfortably.

The 944 is fine. Worked out the issues and been running great. I'm finding it tougher to find time to go out and play now that the kids are getting older.

me thinks the rear of you car will hang off back of trailer which is only bad when backing up or getting rear ended...

but a 14 does fit in most garages

Good to hear you got everything sorted finally! I'd like to come see you race, let me know when your next race is.

Okay, sounds like 14' will work. Thanks. Also guessing that the trailer needs to be 8.5' wide and not just 8', correct? I think the inner width will be REALLY tight if only using the 8' wide version of trailer.

What is the over all length on the 14' FL?

Looking at the FL site, it appears that the 14' trailer comes with 6' ramps, I would strongly recommend at least the 8' ramps with a car as low as the GT3.

yeah, comes with 6' ramps. you can get 7' ramps if you go with the 17.5' trailer. i was just planning on using some pieces of wood (which i think you'd still have to do with the 7' ramp).

Which race ramp model works with the GT3? I was thinking about the TR - 5, which has a 4 degree angle, 5 inch rise and 67" long. I have the 17.5 featherlite with 6 foot ramps.
Thanks

Final test and tune day this upcoming weekend and then it's on to Calspeedway for FOS race in April. If you're coming up, bring grid girls
