Are the majority of folks mixing pads on cars that had steel brakes form the factory? What about those that had carbon rotors to begin with, are you happy with the current rear bias? Thanks.
You're only looking at a 6-7% increase in lever arm. I doubt you can tell the difference.

Same master cylinder for all 996 GT3s, so the bias of the hydraulic system is the same.

Great setup and feel. A lot of PCar friends and racers use them.
Less $ too.
Hawk... no nasty caustic brake dust?

I used to run blacks and then blues in my previous life... the dust was so bad it ate wheel finishes when mixed with water/rain.

I'm currently running Pagid RS19's both on the front & the rear of my GT3. This set up works very well for me & my car.

They also seem to last a long time too.

Don't like the PCCB bias, I want more front bite.

But apparently I am in the minority.. : )

The 996 GT3 has a significant bias towards the front. I went through front rotors and pads in ten days of track using Pagid RS 19s all around. The rear rotors had no wear at all.

A change to RS 29 fronts, RS 14 (black) in the rear and adding Cup Car front brake ducts allowed me to get 40 days on the front rotors and about the same on the rears. Braking was improved as well. I have no experience with PFC, but I am convinced that using higher friction pads on the rear of the 6GT3 is essential. On the 997 GT3 and RS, PAG changed the brake bias to the extent that a higher friction pad in the rear was no longer needed. Cooling to the front rotors was also improved.

That is exactly correct, Bob.
WILD999, if youlike RS19 you will like the newer RS29 a bit better: More bite, same long wear.
