For the track guys, what are you using and why?

I've been doing some research and there are a ton of options out there. Historically I've used Carbotechs and really liked them. Does anybody use them and which compound, any feedback?

Also used PFCs and had good experience. I imagine 01s is what people run on these cars, although I can't seem to find pricing.

Pagids - seem to be very popular and also the most expensive. Do they last longer? Cost is almost twice of the Carbotechs. Is everyone using RS19s?

Hawks? I see they make them but don't see anyone running them.

Did I miss any of them?

The only ones we usually use is Pagid and PFC. Currently on the car is Pgid RS-19s up front and PFC 97s in rear.

GT3 guys are running Pagids or PFC's. I use PFC 97 Front and PFC 06 for the rear on my GT3 and PFC 06's all around on my Cup car. Haven't tried the 01's yet on either car. I found PFC to last longer than Pagid.

Ping Apex Perf in SC; they carry PFC pads, are a Supporting RL Vendor, are super close, have great customer service, and support PCA events.

I'm running Pagid RS19's and RS14's

I have a 2 driver car and use Padig RS29 yellow in front and black in the rear seems to be a good balance and last well.

I like more of a rearward brake bias so I use a more aggressive rear pad. That's my favorite combo, although I would try the 15's in the rear to see what it's like.

I have run RS14 black front and RS15 gray rear for a few years now. The 20% higher friction on the grays helps bias the braking towards the rear and helps settle the rear end. My understanding is that Porsche did the same on 997 GT3s but with the hydraulic system. I noticed a big diference coming into turn one at Road America, 133 mph to 75 mph. Pad wear is about even front/rear so it definately is working.

Rs19 all around using Castrol srf brake fluid. Works for me. Mike

You typically want a higher friction pad out back vs. front with a 996 GT3 that sees track work and runs R compounds - and has a track alignment.

These cars really prefer to have more than the OEM rear brake bias.
RS29 fron, RS14 back - OR RS29 F&R.

Thank you for the feedback on the Greys, I gave the OP a set of Greys to try in the rear. I never had the opportunity to try them vs the 14s

Hmmm, sounds like most are running Pagids. I was thinking about trying 06 front and 01 rear.

That's a great combo. I had trouble getting PFCs so I went back to Pagid. Personal preference.
