Have Recaro Sport seats that came with the 2004 GT3 that only support 4-point harness. Definitely I am going with roll bar this season - car had that removed before I bought it. However would like to not get new seats as this is my daily driver that sees 1-2 Driver's Ed track events per month. 4-point harness seems to make sense as there is no club racing in my future. Good/Bad?? Thanks in advance.
if you mean the recaro 996GT3 clubsport seats, they are equiped to support 5/6pt with a cutout in the seat bottom and an available sub bar for the sub belts.

As to 4pt ... very few people run with them due to the risk of submarining.

Only SCHROTH has an anti-submarining patent in belts called ASM. These can be safe even when 4p.

OMP Big seats in my car (I'm tall and wide) with driver's side bolted directly to the floor.
DAS Sport Harness Bar powdercoated red
Schroth 6 pt. harnesses
HANS

I went with the DAS bar because of how it mounts to the shock towers and the harness cross bar is set back a few inches offering better legroom

which would be a good solution for the GT2 Sports Buckets since they do not have a sub belt bar OEM - although aftermarket are available from brey krause

Good idea for a few DE's . Lotus has the 4p as oem equipment, and they are street legal too in US and Europe.

Marc,
If you haven't bought a bar yet, Mobonic on the renntrack forum has a nice bar for sale at a very good price.

Thanks for the info - I picked up a used Tequipment bar (with harness/cross bars) for $1300 on ebay.

Euro GT3 seats are nice but if you are over 6'4" or over 200 lbs I would go with something else

The harness cut outs are quite low (risk of spinal compression with harness) and the seats are narrow too

I used to run sparco 2000s in my e36 M3, they fit me much better than the clubsport seats that came in my gt3
