+ 1

I had black-for-the-track on my SY C2S and loved it. But every time I open this thread, the picture on the first post just blows me away.

There's just something about black wheels on a yellow car that just looks mean! Maybe more "purposeful" is a better description, vs. silver being "elegant". Just depends on what image you're going for.

p.s.... yeah, I know, it's not a GT3, but, gimme a break, it's what I have & I'm still going through withdrawals...

Steve, that little yellow go kart on crack you have there is smoking! I bet it's a hoot to drive on track. Just looks fast in the picture

I kinda like the black centers with polished rims. The black complements the RS cf blade.

^ good contrast.
i only do full blk wheels on track cars as i am lazy to clean them.
on street cars, i like silver or silver/blk like urs, or body colored.

Of course, it's all a matter of personal taste (beauty is in the eye of the beholder), but I don't care for all-black wheels. I like that little bit of bling. Now, if I could find some nice cf mirrors (not just covers) that don't cost an arm and a leg, I'd do that, too.

I like the black wheels...but think it would look better with either a matching yellow or silver around the outer edge. At least yours are not chrome like mine....I want to get mine black as well, but may opt for the "Black Chrome" look instead.

Someone want to photoshop my car w/Black or Black Chrome? My car is darker than guards red...so it's not exactly the same.

I have thought / am considering the accent stripe, but not sure if I can pull it off. I do plan to paint the GT3 in the center caps Yellow for a small accent. Street shoes gotta be purdy.

My $.02, never been real keen on a body color accent stripe for black wheels. Painting all one color would be the easiest. The RS style centers were a major PIA to mask off properly. I do like the black chrome wheels pictured above. Love to see how those look on speed yellow.

I dropped off the wheels just a bit ago, and decided to go with, glossy black.

How much (approximately) does it cost to have 4 wheels painted? Are the wheels in good condition (i.e., not much prep needed) or they need some repair for curb rash, for example?

Looking forward to the result!!

Paint will run you between 150-300 per wheel depending on the company and the quality of the work.

PC will run your about 50-100 per wheel depending on shop.
