A Little PS Help? Black Wheels Please
I am getting my stock street wheels PCd soon and I cannot seem to make a decision between going with bright silver again, or full black (I will not do the RS black centers only)
Can someone PS my wheels full black? TIA

Go to Domani Motors website (Florida) to see a yellow 996 3 with black wheels that looks incredible. Here is the link:

I would leave them oem..
IMO the black ones get "lost" with the tires and you can't see nothing of the wheels' design.
If you must I would suggest a really dark grey imagine something closer to the carbon sides of the rear wing.
Found this pic on 6s site.
Also a nice touch on the darker ones would be center caps with yellow GT3 logo. I can send you stencils for them if you like.

Race Car
...but the Yellow car that's in FL and been on and off of e-bay for a couple months now has exactly what you're looking for with no need for a 'chop. I'd post the picture but ebay is blocked by my firewall.

lol.
Mr. nascar in the above photo was holding us up so we (yellow cars) pinched off turn ten at Laguna and passed Mr. nascar on the inside. We then heard some crazy noise and it was Mr. nascar drag racing us down to turn 11. Us yellow cars stalled on the outside to see if he was going to stop in time to make the apex. Then we just drove around the outside and left him. Few laps later Mr. nascar was off deep in the kitty litter in that turn 11.
I do not mind having any detail in the rims as the car shape should be what people enjoy and for me the silver rims just jump out and say look my shiny round objects. Do what you like.

Regardless of color, I wouldn't powdercoat wheels. Powder will hide cracks. Paint and anodizing won't hide them (cracks will telegraph through paint).
Straight black was too utilitarian (great for track though) and plain silver bores the crap out of me. I opted for a "black chrome" paint for my street wheels (with black barrels and dark areas on the sides of the spokes).
