If u shifted well I think 40 hours more or less. U don't NEED to service the box that often u can take a gamble and go 60 hours. But if u lose a tooth and it grinds a hole In ur box u can just buy a new gear box. But oh it sounds so good when it's at full

Might as well get a Cup Car then
In all this discussion about what to do to the car I would get a Cup Car if my car were track only. For the money you will put more into a street car trying to get it as fast as a Cup Car and still never get there. If you still aren't sure what to do then take $5K that you are planning for your next mod and rent a cup car for a day. I promise you once you get finished with that day there will be a for sale sign on the street car and the cup car will be sitting in the garage.

Should last longer than that, but depends on a bit on how you treat it. An investment in a throttle-blip can save a lot of money and save rebuild costs.
If you dedicate to track driving, but not in for racing. A 996 Cup must be one of the greatest bang for the buck there is. Especially if you can modify the suspension a little bit.

I had several modded 6Gt3's and have had an 05 cup for the past 3 years
It ain't even close. With the current prices on 6 cups it makes it a no-brainer
I would also add that the cup is very dependable. As far as TTO ( time to overhaul) of the engine and trans. they are the same as a street, with very slight differences, so the maintenance is the same or less
