brian copans did my 4.0 rp.
canuck already has rear toe, i told him about dog bones and split arms.
as well as thrust arm busings, upper monoball shock plates.
maybe even front toe rods
drop links.
c'mon. vic, you got to come up with more big $ items. i only got him $15,000 so far in suspension.
cup cable and shifter is very very nice for a track car.

I'm in the same boat as you, Chris. I'm taking my car out tonight to get some gas and then I'm towing it to the shop tomorrow for Motons.
I wouldn't do 4.0 r&p (32:8) I believe Guards has one close to that but not an even ratio (33:8????). Just a hair off 4.0:1 so you don't get the same teeth meshing all the time. Makes it last longer. Check with them.
Regearing a trans will get expensive. Fast. While you're in there the synchros will be looked at as well and the price goes up and up.
Cheers,

^ hah, you know the drill
you keep oem rp, regear 3-6
most likely your 3rd 4th gear sync is worn. replace 3rd and 4th, move 4th to 6th.
yah, i say about 5000... when you are done....

Motons and data logger/camera system this winter (well...this week)
More fixing the nut behind the wheel (pro coaching) and babying the 3rd gear synchro next year
Play with trans following winter.

While I realize there are some tweaks to the heads on the '7 that help with power porsche claims most of the bump comes from improved breathing on the intake and exhaust sides.

I've always wondered why we haven't seen more tuners bolting on the '7 GT3 larger throttle body. Heck, they're doing it on Caymans left and right but this is the first I've really heard of it in a '6 GT3.

The problem with the R&P is that it doesn't solve the problem of the VERY long gearing of the car. The only way to fix that is to change out the gears. Changing first and second is cost prohibited b/c they are fused to the shaft. However, you can change 3-6. The easiest way (and most cost effective) is to replace 3-5 and move 5th to 6th.
However, the only true way to fix EVERYTHING is to do both R&P and gears. But if you have to choose one, it's a no brainer that regearing is the better choice.
