Default harness, airbag bar, kid seat

Does anyone have a kid seat that fits in the clubsport/recaro carbon fiber seats (up front)?

If so can you please post a picture and tell me the model number of the seat

Also, has anyone decided to forego the car seat and just take the kid strapped in with the factory 6 point harness adjusted to the little one?

see pix attached.
without child seat, no workie. see santa clause jr.
i did driver her that way from one end of the drive way to the other, she fell off the seat and ended up in the footwell. wife wasn't home and she's too young to tell on me....

the other pix were taken when she's 3 YO. it's the RECARO "START" seat. highly adjustable in ht and width. also has ear speaker in the halo. she still use it at 6 YO today. it fits the euro 996gt3 shell seat nicely, but dont really fit into the 997GT2 seat (the shell seat that folds, you have to SQUISH the child seat into it).

only downside of the seat is that it's 2x - 3x heavier than comparable britex runabout.

btw, if the pix is not clear, the recaro child seat is on top of a 996GT3 shell seat. yes, the driver seat doesn't match the passenger seat.

FWIW, with my big 4 year old and my GT3 shell buckets, I had forgone the baby seat and booster in favor of 3-4 folded towels and the regular seat belt.

Towels didn't match the interior... hated that. ;-)

How did you handle air bag deactivation?
Thanks

I was told by dealer it would only work with porsche child seat, what do you use for a buckle to deactivate? Was I misinformed?

All you do is insert the passenger seat belt tongue into the deactivation bar receptacle and hold it there until you start the car.
The seat belt tongue will not stay in place but once the car is started it doesn't matter because the electronics doesn't recognize that.
