Default Nitto Camber optimized settings

Getting my car set up for Road America. I've noticed alot of wear on the outside edges of the fronts the most. I run 315/30 and 235/40 35 and 37 hot. I really like these tires. I've seen a few threads here with various settings and just wondering if there are any updates that people are using since these tires seem to be catching on with more users.

Obvioulsy street car and I would predict 3,000 non track miles year.

Most of the set up knowledge on our cars is Michelin and R6.

I do not know about "optimized settings" but the final setting I love meaning great grip,braking feel, and tire longevity with even tire wear is:

3.25 front camber w/0.5mm toe in
2.25 rear camber w/2.5mm toe in

I also start out at 25psi cold on all 4 corners.

I am not saying my set up is the end all of set ups but for me its great and to each their own, for we each have to drive the car fast around the track and keep it off the wall.

i'm actually in 100% agreement with 4porsh...

i run -3.2 front with very slight toe-in (.5mm sounds about right but i'd have to check my sheet) and tire wear is excellent on my nt01's. i dont drive on the streets with my nittos however. pressures at 38 hot up front seem to work good for me, 39 hot is also nice.

in the rear i've tried -2.7 and it was a bit too much i'd have to say... just a bit too much inside tire wear for my liking. and again, nt01's only driven on the track. my toe-in at the rear is about .08" but i'd love to dial in a bit more, closer to what 4porsh is running. rear tire temps hot i like them at 37-38 hot. i'll try -2.25 or -2.5 camber for the rear tho... to help with inside tire wear next time around!

Joe's numbers are spot on. The rear (if running the 315) does NOT need more than about 2 to 2.25 degrees. The front is about all it needs in the 3 to 3.25 range.

Dial it back a bit for street use. You need to decide if you want street first settings or track first settings or a middle ground. Personally, I went to FULL track setup since I drove around town rarely. If you get a descent number of street miles I'd dial it back to about 1.5-2 in front and rear.

You guys are starting the NT01s @ 25psi cold? Is that because of the negative camber? I am running the stock alignment and planned on starting around low 30s.

I usually go low 30s, any lower and I need to add air.

Depending on ambient temp I range from a staring of 26-32. Closer to 32 when it's cold and closer to 26 when it's flippin hot!

Yes for me. The first few laps the car acts strange but after you build up the pressure and heat you can hammer down the entire session without the over steer at the end of your track time. As everyone knows when the rears get up to the high 30s(39psi) the over steer comes. I think where one starts with the pressures also depends on how aggressive/fast you drive, meaning more aggressive=more heat and pressure build up in the tire. Thus starting at lower tire pressure. Just my observation, do what works for you.
p.s. on colder then normal days I start the pressures a little higher.

I start at 30 all around cold. Worked for the ra-1s and the nittos ( same compound)
I have 3.5/3 camber but I'm optimized for slicks. So on the nittos I cord my insides. With slicks the outsides cord. Flippin annoying that's there no middle ground.

My premise with tires is whatever the optimum hot pressures for tire I go 7-8 psi down when cold. I do 31 hot all around with v710's so I'm usually set cold at 23-24 psi. Mike

I usually go up 10 lbs in the rear and 8 lbs front. But as Dell says it's all about lateral load. You're not driving hard enough
