Does anyone know how to figure out how many 996 GT3's there are in the U.S. and how many of each color?

I think there were about 990 total 996 GT3's if memory serves. Don't know how many of each color though. I know there is a thread with those numbers here somewhere. You should be able to find it.

Our resident informal "registry" should be chiming n shortly. While his list is not fully complete he does have a good indication of what you are looking for.

Or just do a search (GT3 forum only) for user enthusiast

Seems to be more US imports than Canadian Spec cars up here, mine is one of the few Canadian Spec cars that I've see in Alberta.

Well, at least one that I contributed... although I saw that one being sold (by a crook, presumably) who picked it up at an insurance auction and took it north to Canada. If it was fixed it wasn't without a large and foolish investment.

Having recently joined the GT3 ranks, it seems that they are very special and owners are pretty fanatic about them...

Does your data base have location (State/Province) of the cars? Options? Current/past owners, etc? Just curious since so few of them were build.

Would be nice to see who else has one in your neighborhood, or perhaps document them for future generations...

Are there any plans to make the database available on line? Having access to online VINs and additional info (if they wish to post it) will allow owners to make corrections and improve accuracy of the data... The GT3RS registry has a nice model.

Also, any type of 6GT3 documentation centrally located would be a nice addition. Thanks! Lou

Someone had a sheet at some point on this forum that listed the 6 GT3's made in 04' & 05' and colors in North America.. IIRC it was ~ 500ish 04' 250 05'
