the plate and plate material are different.

The 7 does push more than 6, thus more stable. But it can be dialed out. You don’t really need GT2 rear bar to dial it out either.

where is bob r. when you need him?
Bob said me last year in e-mail:

"On my home track, a 996GT3 on Michelin Cup tires does 1:52 with only a track alignment.

The 997GT3 RS in the same configuration is 1:54! Same driver - me.

With the addition of the 997GT2 rear sway bar, the RS is now as fast as the 996GT3. As delivered even with a track alignment, the 997GT3 has a lot of understeer. The stiffer GT2 roll bar cures the understeer and makes the 7 as quick around the track as the 6.

There is no performance difference on the track between a 997GT3 and the more expensive RS model."

I had similar dilema now, change 6gt3 (well prepared) for 7 paying not to much or wait year/two for reasonable price of 7,II.

Best,

Best,
Ok but thats probably because he was using the cup+ on the 7 which aren't as quick as the cups on the 6. With equal tyres the 7 is quicker (e.g. corsa race) and also easier to go fast in.

But is 1 to 1.5 seconds a lap worth the extra $$$$

Lots divest opinions
bob r told me he's faster in 6 until he got real
tires on RS. Me too. I ran r888 on 6 and oem
on RS. The tire was such POSthat after one trk day I called dealer
and was selling RS bk at 15000 beliw what I paid. My mechanic drove it and told me it's tires then by 3rd trk day I can match 6 speed easily and doing it leisurely.

7's push is a set up issue. EASILY fixed. It also turns in better than
6. Sonme may find 7 push too much that's also driving style. I like my car to push A LOT. Some friends driving my car told me the car only goes straight. But I apparently have no prob matching speed of fast drivers who's car doesn't push. I was playing playing with Rad at LS with about same lap time with my pushy car. He's better driver. I played with poc guys too and they cannot figure out how I hug inside of Andretti Hairpin pi. With pushy car. And my mechanic drive
y pushy 6 at TH over top 1:57 with r888

so it's not push or loose. It's set car up to the way u drive. Just like I know some really fast guys in gt3 who doesn't trail brk, left ft brk.... So...

Pete

for ME, 7.1 or 7.2, RS or not is not worth the money over 6 but I wanted one to inflate my midlife crisis ego issue. In retrospect Viagra would have been much cheaper

That I can respect. I took care of that when I got the 6GT3 on a whim, then traded it for 930mans 6GT2. Not that I needed a faster car to go slow in.
