Just to add my .02. I did a test a few weeks ago at the Glen. The 8 degree shim cost 4-5 mph on the back straight compared to no shim with the stock wing. With the down force comes drag. It begins to show at about 120 mph, and held me to 144 as opposed to 149 mph at the end of the back straight ( on that day with those weather conditions ...no wind... and track conditions)

I was intending to try my CF wing and collect more data, but ended the day when I delaminated on the rear R6s. I didn't think the test would be valid with different tires.

manthey wing has a little gurney lip on the trailing edge of the blade and larger than rs end plates - I had my former one clear coated and it turned out nicely

But did it help you lap time and speed through corners? Not familiar with the track, but I know Road Atlanta needs a big wing.

Does any one know downforce numbers for these wings?

One way to add more downforce to RS wing is put Cargraphic`s gurney:

And I think no one mentioned cooling air vents to front bumper like 996 RS. Manthey claims +15kg downforce @200kmh/125mph. I`m making this modification to my bumper and can tell you some comments later. I`ve heard this is very good mod and can be noticed at higher speeds.

I made my decision. And I love it. Off to the track for some more impressions.

Congrats!

Splash those shims with some spray paint and they'll blend in.

Cheers,
