Here's a good link of a beautiful car sporting a Manthey wing:

Don't think they are identical.. at least Manthey claims that it has slightly more down force compare to the OEM RS wing... (something like 5kg more.. ha!)

Manthey says their wing is stonger to. I like it, it's been developed in the windtunnel and tested & raced at the ring - it's the real deal.

swbatte Check after this weekend as I am trying out an American made RS wing this weekend at Road America. I'll get some pictures. Where is your home track?

They are very close. I have a Manthey wing and compared it to the RS.

(foggy memory alert)

Width is the same
I think depth is the same too
Airfoil shape is a little different with Manthey. I think it has 0.5 deg of more attack.
Wing end plates are more aggressive on Manthey.

Both are carbon fiber. My Manthey end plates kinda suck in the "fit & finish" category. Plenty of resin pin holes on the edges of the plates. I had a shop fill them in and paint the end plates black to match my car. Now I won't have to deal with white spots when I wax the car.

Cheers,

Surprised to hear about the quality on the end plates for the Manthey wing.. !

But the main blade is of high quality?

If I ever get one, I'd tempted to paint the end plates white.. ha!!

Yes, main blade only had a couple pinholes. wrt my comment, keep in mind two things:

1) Anyone can have a bad day and make parts with pinholes. oem RS might have some wings out there like my Manthey

2) I've painted cars in the past and can get real picky. Other folks may not be as picky as me.

Cheers,

The question I would have is how much is a used OEM wing worth if new Mantheys are so good at $3500?

I know market is about $2500-$3000 for a used one, but for an extra $500 you're getting a new piece. Hmmm....
