Jeff and Dave are in a different league. If they had 7 gt3's and ran it like the 6's it'll be faster for sure. Wish I had their *****. Mike

he's got all parts figured out and has done enough gt3's. Nine gt3 for me alone and 18 porsches in total fir me. If he tells me my cars fine then IRS fine.
I wonder what people with 6gt3's would say about tuners in the Northeast who could effectively do the same? Thought it might be F-Loles but that's not possible anymore. TRG at NJMP in southern NJ? And, I'm specifically talking about shock (moton) setups.......

All of this work is doable by a semi competent person. Just make sure you get the Motons with the QD's. You need few tools, jack stands, install, corner balance and align. Have fun. Motons were worth 2.5 sec @ Sebring.

Just saw this post.

Steve helped me set up my 996GT3 and the 996GT2. I really respect his opinion's and would recommend him if you don't mind traveling a little.

i know jochen and jeff personally and they know each other as well.
jochen is very modest. maybe too much!
i dont push my RS much. can't afford to write it off.
but i did 1:53 with R888.
so with fresh hoosier and a bit of pushing i am sure i'll get to 1:51. certainly jochen is more than just 1 second faster than moi.
I'm pretty sure Dave was on NT-01's. Incredible how fast Jeff is

Victor call me stupid but what are the advantages of 3 way vs 2 way motons. Also did u start out of the box with 1000/1200 springs? Mike

2-way allows for adjustment of rebound and bump (aka compression)
3-way allows for adjustment of rebound as well as low and high speed bump
4-way allows for adjustment of low and high speed rebound as well as low and high speed bump

Now prior to getting motons what is needed to get it prepped ie monoballs etc? thanks. Now those with 2 way and seems like majority has them on would 3 way be better way to go. Victor with 3 way driving in the track what is apparent vs 2 way version. thanks. Mike

THe thing to understand about suspension components is something will ALWAYS be the weak link and be the the weak point and possible point of failure.

When I did my suspension, I thought about just doing "this" or just doing "that" and at the end of the day I decided to do it as ONE COMPLETE SYSTEM (like it is).

If you upgrade one piece to a motorsport unit, IMHO, you need to upgrade the rest.

As far as the dampers, there is a reason why the cups went BACKWARD with their shocks. MOre adjustments is leading to too much confusion and inability to properly setup the car. THere are very few people that actually know how to do this properly which is why paying for professional track support form somebody that knows this stuff can setup your car properly.

So, the question is, what's the budget?

I know I'll be happy with 2 way and from what I heard 3 way aint an easy task to set up. Budget what's that? I usually tell my wife after the fact and she goes ape**** but this time around I've been real good- she has total control of house remodel and the monies for it. But whatever I do -my main thing is mentality is get it done and forget about it- I dont want alot of headaches as my car now feels great but I want to go the next step. I've been thinking bout this for some quite sometime on my gt3 so I value everyone elses opinion here. Dell u did most of the strip yourself on the bsr rt? did u do the ac delete yourself?Mike

Easy task to do? If I had my house(hopefully July) I be doing all the stripping myself but have no time where I live. I am doing the front trunk this Sunday. I know how to remove stuff just don't ask me to put it all back : ). Mike
