Vic, yes we do brake that hard Just depends on what the situation is like. For example, at VIR at the end of the back and front straight (especially the back) you are in a decel state from 6th gear in the mid 150's down to a 2nd gear slow corner trailbrake. The forward g's under braking can hit over 1.5 and while the tire still has grip to spare the wheel and tire marriage doesn't and thus the wheel continues to spin while the tire is in decel since something has to give.

My guess is you have more speed on the table. Have you analyzed data yet to see where you are/aren't maximizing the loads?

I can pull my data if you like and give you the exact g's but IIRC it was near 1.8 for me.

Traqmate says 1.5g So maybe I have some on the table. If you have traqmate data still I'll take a look at it. I guess you hit more then 1.8 at least with slicks.

Not really much more out there than that. I have never run new slicks (just r6 and used yoko's) so I wouldn't know what more grip level was available.

Mine spin, too, but I'm so super smooth and silky fast that I burn the rubber up too fast for the wheels to ever get out of balance.

Dell's secret is out... Aquanet is the answer to why his hair always looks so d*mn good at the circuit.
