The MK1 6GT3 has the cable throttle, I believe.. but in most other aspect, the MK2 was improved (bigger brake, more power, etc.) without adding more electronics (still no stability control and traction control..)

You know, I am looking for a racecar because I dont want to race the 6gt3, but I think I'm spoiled. Where am I going to find something as good as the 6gt3 to race?

I sold my Mk2 in Norcal and moved back to Spore.

I am now in a MK1, with Cup Car Final Drive and LSD, with MK2 brakes and running MK2 wheels

I have not looked back

KJ, Just caught this statement. Is there a reason you don't track the GT3 other than your 996 is already equipped to do so? Just haven't had the time yet?

yep, that'd do it. But I would still be in a GT3. I want to race and go really fast without using a GT3, something I am not afraid to crack up.

buy a very high mileage gt3- if mechanically good and tub damage free. I think your gt3 is a very nice pristine example- would hate to race that too. My car is cosmetically challenged- looks like been to the grassy knole too many times : (. When I wax my car every 3 months man those rubber marks really shine : ). Mike

old picture, its seen a bit of action. its too expensive to replace stuff on, engine is big bucks same with tranny. but i love the whole response on track...tough to reproduce with a lesser car.
