It really is interesting how sensitive these cars are to small suspension adjustments. I have 550# front and 700# rear springs with re-valved shocks to match. I run front sway at one from full stiff and had rear the same but the car was scary. Now running full soft in rear and it's so much easier to control
: drives like a completely different vehicle. I think all the advice here makes a lot of sense. Just get everything set up right and you'll love your car again. Don't give up now.

GMG did my car (the first time) don't bother calling them. Call lex at moton.
Track only? spring rates/camber depend on tires. you want a 2-300 difference f/r I would go with 300 because you're less likely to get in trouble. 175lb helper springs Ask lex about spring lengths, he made a custom set up for me. I think 6in.
800/1100lbs and 2.5 ish camber for DOT-R
1000/1300 or higher and 3.5/3 for slicks.
Canister pressure 150/175lbs
ride height 100/120mm (rake is very important)
Some people have used a higher front spring 1400lbs and up but I dont' understand how that works. besides giving you more traction in the rear.

On my friends 6GT2 the 600/800 springs were to soft..which are the same spring rates that I used on my 6GT3 which felt stiffer....I used stiffer helper springs.
My 6GT3 was a bit of work to get it working properly...but in the end it turned out great...keep on ..keeping on and you will get there.

VA122 made a great point about the rake. I see all too many cars with an *** down rake. This make the steering very nervous. Plus the weight transfer is not correct. It also makes braking unstable.

WHo did your alignment?

When I first got my GT2 the previous owner talked about how the car was "setup" but this great race shop. Needless to say the car was slammed in the rear and the handling was freightning. I brought the car to Protosport and they made the car handle correctly. They raised the rear up quite a bit. It now handles like it is on rails. Check out this recent picture of my car. It is not even close to as low as yours is in the rear.

Theoretically, this should result in less cornering weight transfer up front, therefore better front grip in steady state cornering if I have it right.

Where's a good place to get springs? Not sure if I'd begin to use Motons "properly" just yet so I keep coming back to a basic setup with slightly stiffer springs and revalved Bilsteins to match. Thinking 450/650-ish for street/autox/15 track days a year. Just not sure what direction to go in.

Speaking of revalving, where are people sending the struts and shocks to have this done?
Also, anyone use a spring and tender set up with the stock dampers?
Thanks,
Mike

send them to bilstein, 200 each, you'll be happy with it. you can buy mine and i'll send it to them for you they are down the block from me. I know the settings and you can keep your originals for when you sell the car. Easy swap and you can sell them for what you paid for them. Asking 750 obo for shocks alone.
use eibach springs.
spring rates are determined by tire selection. 600/800 for DOT-R street and track 800/1000 track only
slicks need like 1200 and up.

My previous shop said he adjusted my shocks and they got back breaking stiff, I cannot see my spring rate as car is in the garage and it's been raining for days... I doubt I need stiffer springs, just a whole proper setup, which still seems impossible, I can't get a hold of my current setup on paper, this is ridiculous already!
Should I just have my first shop do it, but with me TELLING THEM how to set it up, after getting some advice from you guy's of course?
