Colby, have you thrown it on Craigslist?
At $68,000 you will most likely get some strange emails (something to the effect of "your smoking crack") but then again, you may also find a buyer!

Or, you can re-post and ask recent sellers of GT3's to either post or message you what GT3's are really selling for in todays tough economy.

Just a thought.

No worries, I have removed water from my daily intake.

In all seriousness though, I probably overreacted to his juvenile retort to a simple question. However, his thread was a feeler and I asked a simple question yet he chose to attack and then use the "anonymous sources" crap that he gets PMs all the time about by comments. I don't tolerate crap like that. I assumed his response would have been one like he explained just without the crackback to which I would have agreed with him. He took a simple question and turned it into worthless banter.

Colby, Hate to be the messenger, but your car is more likely high $50's - very low $60's in this market with all the goodies included. Hang on to it. It'll be worth more in 12-18 months. I sold mine in Aug 08 for high $60's just before the financial challenges hit. Same as yours although not quite as developed.

Good luck with the sale!

Chris

John has it right, although i never figured the car was only worth low 60's with everything...

Colby, hang on to your car (like the rest of us), nobody likes loosing money, especially when it can be avoided. Buy some light-weight wheels and Hoosier R6's and you will be in HEAVEN on the track.

This **** economy will pass.

It may pass, hell it better but I don't see things coming "back"

I, and I could be wrong- these are not F cars... believe that once the price drops, they won't return
to some price from 8 months ago.

So the advice that you flamers (someone who believes....) keep giving yourselves that it will be worth more in the future might not prove to be valid. Now if we were talking abou 360's or 430's, or modern art or an apartment in NYC- well that might be different.

just my 2 cents....

I also don't see the used prices recovering on GT3s in the short term, but I can see them being comparable to the RS America from yesteryear in relation to other 996s from the same era. I certainly wouldn't mind grabbing one myself if they continued to come down like 996 turbos have, but I don't think that'll happen. They really are special cars, the last 911 without driving aids. A modern 73 RS. Keep it if you can, but otherwise I hope it fetches close to what you're asking.

They may not ever get back to the high 60's, but prices will stabilize. We all know the GT3 is one of the greatest Porsches ever built and there is less than 1,000 of them out there.

I apologize as well. Should have given you the benefit of the doubt and seen the question just for what it was, simple.

No hard feeling huh Dell.
