Is the GT3 wife friendly ?
I found a very good deal on a GT3 but the big hurdle is going to be that the wife will have to drive it as a commuter car 3 days a week. 30 miles each way. For me that would be no problem. There just is no room for another car on our property or in the budget.
Can the suspension be softened ? She can drive a manual.
Or am I contemplating marriage suicide ?
Or if so, is it worth it

Hmmm... Its noisy, and it can be considered harsh, and the clutch effort is up there, and the gawk factor may have to be considered (does she mind attention?), and the ride height makes for occasional crunches with driveways etc... You know her better than we do. My wife likes mine enough, better than some of my others, that said she never wants to drive it anyhow.
But: Sure its worth it.

IMO the GT3 is not a very friendly commuter car for a woman. It has a very stiff clutch, rides a bit rough, and has a pretty low ground clearance. I'm sure there are a few women out there who would love it, but I think you will hear some serious bitching after she gets caught in traffic the first time.

My wife actually enjoys driving mine though I don't know if she would want to daily drive it, esp. in stop and go traffic. Your best bet is to let her test drive one. The clutch is much stiffer than most cars but it is easy to modulate (actually easier than a turbo though the turbo has much lighter pedal effort). Comfort is also subjective and dependent on the roads around you. Just be aware that the tiniest speed bumps or steep curbs are like mountains for the car and you must take them slowly and at an angle to avoid damaging the front.

From my experience, no way. Sorry.
I first tried a 930 Turbo, she loved the looks, however poor commuter (I had to drive it, he he he). 2001 911 twin turbo with all options other than PCCB's, still a no go (at least for her as a commuter) now the GT3, no issues, it is a dedicated track car! Mission accomplished.
Good luck.

I think it will wear on her over time especially 3 times a week.

Absolutely not! My wife won't even ride in it!
Seriously, It would be cheaper to buy another car.
You will lose your front spoiler at least once a week.
You will need an alignment every 3 months minimum
you will replace rear tires several times a year.

Same here. My wife won't ride in it unless she has no other option. Bear in mind that my car has the full clubsport package with fire extinguisher, full roll cage, and bucket seats.

As a commuter 3x a week 60 miles I would definitely say NO F'IN WAY!
However, to literally answer your question "is the GT3 wife friendly?"
....I would say absolutely yes!!! Mine was actually a birthday gift from my wife and she tracked it as well with me. She did drive it to work a couple times but still would never think of daily driving 60 miles a day. Regardless, gotta love a woman in a GT3
