The simple answer as other individuals stated is No Way. My wife put up with my 996 Turbo but does not like the GT3 for the reasons already stated: low to the ground, very stiff clutch, noisy, GT3 euro seats not friendly. She drove the Turbo, but has no interest in driving the GT3. However, she did really enjoy my E46 M3, and enjoys driving our other BMW's.

NOT a CHANCE! My wife hates the car, has never driven it and every time she rides in it she says she misses my TT (audi) Kills me but I love the car so I put up with it.

i think you will find that 99% of us that own gt3's laughed out loud when we read your post. Only your wife can answer if it is "friendly."

Can the suspension be softened ? She can drive a manual.
Or am I contemplating marriage suicide ?
Or if so, is it worth it

My wife drives my GT3 routinely and she loves it. Of course her car is an Z4M Coupe which is pretty firm also.

~9k commuting miles/yr = high likelyhood the wife grows to hate it for all the reasons people have already mentioned.

My wife says buy the GT3 and get her a moped! She tracks our GT3 but wouldn't love to drive it as a commuter. It is a bit harsh and quite loud inside. We had a 996 Turbo that would make the world's greatest commuter! You can definately pick one of those up for a song these days!

My wife went for a ride in my car once, prior to modifications, and from then on it was "thank you but no thank you" when I asked her to get in again.

My wife used to ride in it before I 'improved' it for track use, although she wasn't pleased.

Now, she won't ever ride in it at all. There is no way she would drive it regularly; in fact she has never driven it in the 5 years I have owned it.

ps: I use it is my daily driver and love it, although it is pretty crazy on anything but very smooth roads.
