Default Last inspection before warranty runs out

Well, my warranty is running out and the dealer suggested/offered to comb over the car one last time. Any specific areas that I should tell them to look at or try to get them to change (note, car has 48k miles on it)? Thanks.

What are signs of shrinkage (I really walked into this one)?

shifter cable tension
rubber bushing failure (any of them anywhere)
wheel bearings
plastic-to-aluminum radiator seams for evidence of even slight leakage
suspension damper leakage, look for dust clinging to the shocks/struts around the middle sections, the seals on the shock shafts can go bad.
obviously the engine oil and coolant leak usuals
power steering hose leakage, is there moisture around the fittings?
brake caliper dust boots and other components of caliper

Roberga, Good to hear that she's still in the neighborhood. When are you coming down to visit?

I too am going to have my car checked just before expiration. My warranty expires in a month. I have been making enquiries from my dealer re extended warranty. They have some programs for 3yr/36k miles, 4yr/48k miles etc. Prices for those two are $2700 and $3200 respectively. Dealer says that lower the mileage, the lower the price. My 996GT3 has 11,200 miles on the clock. The car has been bulletproof up to now. The only warranty work needed was for a broken/dislocated throttle linkage. The after-market warranty brochure indicates that wear and adjustable items are not covered but all else is.
