Checking to see what model HANS you guys use with the fixed back GT3 Euro seat - model 20 was recommended by Winecountry.

TIA

M is based on neck size.
20 is the correct angle for our seats.

I have the disconnects, and use them occasionally. But I am thinking about switching to the new style that allows better peripheral vision, which is essentially a single tether that slides through mounted slots. My friends who have that say they prefer it. It is the same price as the disconnects. Just something to consider.

I have the sliding tethers and recommend them. It's almost like you aren't wearing the HANs.

Ken, I bought mine through Apex Performance. They are a board sponsor and totally take care of Rennlisters! Give them a call. IIRC, they offer RL members 10% off.

Thanks for the input everyone. Seems like there may be a preference for the sliding tether system so I'll check into that.

The two types of attachment are the sliders and the quick disconnects (QD's). The QD's are orange tethers with metal clips, they make it very fast to separate the HANS and the helmet.

btw, I tried the Sport Line HANS on the other day (20 degree size M) and it's made of plastic and notably heavier than the regular Carbon Fiber one. It's also almost bullet proof if you drop it or it falls off the roof of your car. Both the regular model and the Sport model include the slider style helmet connectors as standard. QD's are an upgrade price.

I've been to Wine Country quite a few times in the last month (4 or 5 times) and each time i try on the standard sport and CF HANS models to see if the additional $300 or so is worth losing the extra 1lb between the two. I decided on the standard sport model, not just b/c it was $300 cheaper but because the wings on the shoulder yokes are noticably bigger to help the belts stay on.
