Default Installed! GT3 Seats and Tequipment Bar, PICS

Finally! After much debate.. the seats and harness bar are finally in! I must say, this setup fits like a glove. the look is completely amazing as well.

Thanks to everyone here with the DIYs on installing these parts, they were a big help! I was able to get the harness bar from outside of the car, into final mounting position within literally 1 minute!

Heres a few pics.. enjoy.

Those seats are awesome! Even in my Boxster, they're great. The interior of your car is beautiful... I love the CF and red stitching.

Very Nice!
I agree, if someone is doing this themself, without paying a shop, the DIY is very helpful.
Get that bad boy out on the track.

Default GT3 Seats and Harnesses

Looks fantastic! This is the same set up I had in my previous car.
Please tell us your lap and sub-straps are bolted to the floor and NOT to the seat.
Check out this article in Reinsentoter PCA "Der Gasser." Go to Der Gasser Online and select July 2008 issue, page 6.

Scott,

How do you mount the harness sub belts and lap belts to the chassis with out drilling lots of holes in the car. I have mine mounted to the GT3 seat like most people I know of. Do you have specifics on how to do this correctly? Pictures?

Thanks,
Chris

Oh no! TEQ bar! OMG! You might as well put a foam pool noodle in your car.

Just kidding.

I believe the lap belts require a bar that goes on the front seat bolts. Is that bad?

You need to drill holes for the sub-straps for sure, no options there.
I will look now to see how my lap belts are mounted (I think to the center tunnel and the seat belt bolt on the outside). I will also check to see if my mechanic has any photos of my or another client's GT3 harness install.

Yes. We drill holes in the floor of all the beautiful GT-3 street cars that have 5 or 6 point belts installed for track use. There have been more than one instance where upon impact, the seat can break off the seat rails. This is more the case in a rear end inpact where you might loose control at speed and crash rearward into a barrier.

If you look into a Porsche factory race car the belts are not secured to the seat.

I'll post some pictures soon.

DupaHead,
Looks sweet, I was so happy after I did this mod in my C4, what a difference in the car feel!

Here are some pic of how my straps are done in the GT3, I have two more under the seat for
the 5th and 6th points

Hope that helps,

Jerry
