Default GT3 v. GT2 offsets

Hey guys, i have a set of e88's off my Turbo in GT2 offset (8.5 x 18 and 12 x 18). Will these sizes/offsets fit a 996 GT3? TIA!

u didn't list the actual offset.
if it is oem offset for GT2, the rear will not fit GT3

Carn3rd, fronts are close but the rears are a ways off.
Seems you are putting the cart before the horse, first things first, get a GT3. I mean that nicer than it sounds, get the car then worry about mods. I always "dreamed" of what my mods would be, then I switched from a twin turbo to a GT3 and fell off the "slippery slope".

Are you going to be tracking your GT3 when you finally get it?
If so, how much?
Stock wheels are only okay for track use, that is until you use lightweight wheels and proper tires, then you will see and feel the difference.
Just trying to help.

carefree,

carn3rd has GT2 wheels off his turbo. turbo has been sold, he's trying to unload the GT2 wheels. i think he has a buyer for those wheels but the buyer intends to put them on GT3, thus leading to the original post.

but yeah, get the damn car. we need more of those here in bay area.

LOL! Thanks John. If all works out the car should be on its way within the week. Although i think it will be going to GMG first for safety stuff, seats, rollbar, harness, rotors, pads, etc... It might actually work out better as shipping is cheaper to So Cal...

I've already fallen. Put about 25k into my Turbo...

If i can afford it, the GT3 will pretty much live at the track. Thanks for the advice though!

you need DAS bar, TCD bar. else you wont be able to race with CFRA or NCRC.

what seat did you choose?

your rotors are dead already?

you want RS29 pads, not RS14.

i can't wait to see it.

if you dont mod the car, which you dont need to, then here's the annual running cost for one year

20 track days @ 300/ea avg: 6000
3 sets of tires @1300/set avg: 4000
2 sets of pagids approx: 1500
2 sets of front and 1 set of rear rotors: 2000
4 DIY oil changes: 500
annual maintenance: 1000
3 alignments per year, you dont want to skimp on this. my car is alignment checked every time it's at tony's and it's there ALOT.: 600

so ROUGHLY 15600.

oh, i forgot fuel. i dont keep track of fuel b/c it's depressing. but i need 3 full tanks per day then add some gas to/from track: 300/day at 20 day = 6000

i guess 20k will do it.

Either TC or GMG is going to custom fab and weld one for me. Havent choosen the seats yet. I'll be talking with Fabryce tomorrow about that. Most likely pole positions or SPG's. I only have around 2k for seats. Any suggestions?

Rotors arent dead but they are cracking... RS29's. Got it. Thanks John!

O' and you'll be the first person i call when i get the car back to Northern California!!!

John, please don't remind us of how much we are spending!
We are having way too much fun driving. The cost associated with driving/tracking are to be expected and forgotten (I can only hope).

Colby, sounds like your GT3 is in route? and you have a lot planned for this bad boy.
Pictures of prior and after would be cool, what color combo did you get?

Not on route yet. Not even fully bought yet. I just have a deposit down. If all goes well it will be on route Tuesday and here or rather in So Cal the 12th. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Definitely will get before and after pictures! Lots planned! It's always been a dream of mine and nothing will be spared! Right now will be mostly safety goods: bar, harness, seats, toe links, rotors, and pads.

The car is silver on black, cause we all know silver is the fastest color.

the roll bar MUST be tied to rear shock tower, else you will not pass tech.
the seats you mentioned are great stuff, but the bracket and sliders are not cheap. budget $400-600 for sliders and seats. anything less then that will bind. i have every slider recaro and sparco made, they are all POS. i have "secret" stash but i cannot disclose. suffice to say cost more than sparco/recaro. is that 2k for TWO seats? if so, you will not be able to get new spg's. you will barely get two pole positions with slider/brackets.

cracked rotors are fine.
