My GT-3 Suspension Modifications
I just got my 4GT3 after extensive modifications to my suspension. I can't wait to try it out at Summit at the end of the month.
Modifications include:
PMS RS rear control arms
Eibach 2.25" Springs front and rear
Revalved Bilstein shocks
Custom top spring hats front and rear
TRG rear mono ball mounts
Previous modifications include:
Rear toe-links and solid engine mounts
2007 GT3 shift linkage
Fabspeed mufflers and cat bypass pipes
Work was done by Bill Rudtner of Rudtner's Racing Group in Freeport NY

Revalving the stock shocks and adding firmer Eibach springs was recommended to me by TRG a while back as an alternative to spending the dollars on JRZ/Motons. Claimed they could improve the handling considerably. What spring rates did you choose and do they have tender/helper springs?
I'm guessing that once you select the springs a shop with the right expertise knows how to revalve the shocks correctly. The whole shock valving/spring combination setting is a mystery to me. Looks like Porsche did not get it right on the 6GT3 according to many so I'm wondering if there are specs and guidelines for this or is it magic based on experience - just wondering out loud and not expecting you to have an answer...but it you do...

I went with 500 front and 700 rear and the shocks went back to Bilstein for revalving. The most common "fix" for the rear are the upgraded toe links and engine mounts.

Rick, it doesn't appear that your rear toe arms have bump steer adjustment? Also, not sure if you drive it on the street but you could probably stand to drop the ride height. I'm guessing though ride height can't go down too much without changing over to adjustable toe arms.
Looking forward to hearing your impressions of the new setup!

Car is lowered to 112mm in front and 126mm in back and it's first outing will be at Summit with Schattenbaum region. I then have a LRP with CVR, then back to summit with Potomac region, then a bunch of LRP's with CVR and I'm hoping to get in a Glen, and this is all before May 1st. Sorry I won't be joining you next week at VIR, but my daughter is having a baby in Florida and family always comes first.

Are you sure it was measured properly? Mine currently sits at 114/122 and is much different that yours. Let me find a picture to illustrate it.
Couldn't find any so I went out to the garage to snap a few. Not sure how your shop measured but my shop has a special tool that sends a solid vertical piece up to the measure point that is accurate to .1mm
Here are 3 crappy cell pics.....

The Cup sits at 85 and 100....not very street friendly : ) LOL I have non adjustable Bilsteins (factory cup parts) and they are great. I'd take me a year to figure out the settings on Motons oe JRZs.

Yes I agree with Dell, My hight is simlar to Dell. Front 11,5, rear 12,3. I m not sure about the rear but front definitely stands higher.
I have front: camber -2,5, toe +0,5 and rear camber -2,5 and toe. +2,5. On the bumpy road is very dificult to drive. V max 80 m/h.

I can't remember the valving #'s, but Steve Brightbill at Bilstein knows them well. He's the service/development guru down there.
Larry Eckert is the sales/mktg manager you'll need to talk to. I just saw him in San Mateo over the weekend too.
See you at the Dutch Goose this baseball season!

Yeah, we'll have to meet up for a beer or connect at a track day some time if you still have the bimmer.
Hope the new gig is going well.

At 105mm in the front, I would lose my splitter going in and out of my driveway. Your car looks great. Excellent choice of color as well.
