The 928GTS 5-spd is staying with me forever. I just thought that was my last chance to drive a GT3. If it was not a GT3 I would not have bothered. Normal 911s don't interest me at all. Now I think both the 928 and the GT3 are keepers

Default 996 GT3 CS MKI production number

Nobody here is talking about the even rarer 996GT3 MKI CS Modelyear 2001, with the later very interesting upgrades of the
996 GT3 MKII CS....
The information I got is that 20% are Clubsports, so about the 508 996 GT3's MKI CS of modelyear 2001
around 100 Clubsports?
I have 3 of these very rare cars from 2001.

Anyone have either of Streather books around? Do they say anything about this?

The differences are:
Electric hood & trunk releases
Steel gearbox syngros instead of brass
Alcantara headliner
Electric mirrors
Keyswitchlight in the door
Thicker carpet in the trunk
Improved lines between motor and radiators
Stickers on the enginehood

Of 15 cars I have information about, 3 are CS's.

If you would like to share the VIN's of your 2000/2001 996 Mk1, don't hesitate.

Default GT2 vs GT3

I am sorry to bring up this old thread. I am looking for production numbers on 2001 MK1 GT2 with Club Sport Option. Perhaps if someone was successful researching this info on the GT3 the same reference would help me with a GT2.

Thanks

The UK got just 14 Mk1 996 GT2 Clubsports. The Mk2 was of course rarer still.
