Default Hans Device on Sale

Got an email from SafeRacer.com. The Hans' are on sale. Just thought you guys may be interested...

Not sure if these are great prices or not, but seemed decent to me.

No affilation, etc., just passing it on for those interested.

Their "sale" prices are actually the retail list prices. Not sure why companies do that crap.

Good call. The only reason I know the pricing is that I recently bought my HANS device.

Dell, did you spring for the new sliding tether system?

Nope. Mine is fixed. I am sure they have done the proper R&D on the sliding system but wouldn't the fixed tether system be safer? Regardless, the $75 upgrade is not worth it IMHO. I'd go for the QD system before I did the sliding system.

I was thinking the same thing. What kind of support would it give you if your head was turned during impact etc etc.

When I first started wearing the HANS I had issues on a couple of turns in which my marks are off my shoulder. The HANS prevented me from being able to turn my head enough to pick it up. This might be a solution.

Are you serious? I have never had an issue with not being able to see to either side in any situation on the track. I can't imagine a situation where you would need to rotate your head that far for a reference point.

After the first weekend with the HANS, I forgot I was even wearing it as I have never hit the limit of lateral movement (other than in the pits).
