MM...IIRC it is like the Porsche one, 100% CF. The only "non-CF" bits are the two bolts on the winglets and the brackets riveted into the mold.

Pole....I really hate paying the Porsche pricing sometimes but I have yet to be disappointed in the quality of the parts. The OEM RS wing is a thing of beauty with PERFECT CF weave. Something I have yet to see on the copies. Also, alot of the copies are CF layered over a fiberglass shell. So no weight savings and all bling. My OEM one is 4#. Plus, I like knowing that I have a part that is designed and tested for my car, something the replica makers cannot claim.

+1

Imagine the pucker factor at 130mph+ and the rear wing rips off....

At the current prices I don't see a rear wing in my near future so I guess it's a good thing my local track is quite slow.

Pucker factor maybe in the middle of a sweeper, but I'd say the driver behind would be in for a world of hurt. That surf board is going to do some damage.

It's 100% carbon fibre and can be lifted with just your little finger. Significantly deeper aerofoil and fractionally larger in all dimensions.

Okay, my wing is here. Does this look like a Manthey product?

RR,
Looks pretty good from what I can tell in the pics. Question: were the aluminum supports included, and did the wing have nutserts attached to it for bolting the supports (uprights on the wing itself) to? If so, how were the fittings, did they seem to be well reinforced?
Interesting.

The aluminum supports came with the wing. To install the supports, we plan on drilling short holes in the wing for rivets and 3M glue. The nutserts feel pretty strong on the ends of the wing.

I got a quote from Sunset today. RS wing shot up in price BIGTIME. Over $4000 now plus end plates.

Crap. I have had "wing envy" of you RS guys all winter and was hoping to wait until spring (tax refund check!) to start to buy some goodies. Missed the boat, as usual...

For that kind of money, Motons are starting to sound really good!

No it doesn't. Manthey ships the wings with the upright supports pre-fitted. Also, the edges of the wing tip edges are hand finished and are not gel-coated. Unless they have changed their recent wings shipped, that doesn't look like one.
