Earlier this year I switched from PS2's to NT01's. Thought I'd post my findings. I ran 8 days on the NT-01's this season I know that's not a lot but it's what my schedule allowed. 2 days at Watkins Glen and 6 days at Lime Rock. A total of 28 heat cycles plus a couple of round trips to drive to Lime Rock (75 miles). Tires got hauled to the Glen.
Camber is max up front with no shims or rotation, front -1 degree 45' and the rear is -2 degrees. I run with 10 ' total toe up front and 35' in the rear.
I had no rubbing with the 315/30/18's in the rear. My ride height is 116mm in the front and 127 in the rear. No issues anywhere in the rear wheel wells. When the tires were brand new turning with full lock caused just a bit of rubbing. Went away by day 4 or 5.
I'm very happy with the performance of the tire. I ran totally stock last year in PS2's so I was very happy with the improved braking and overall grip.
Attached picture shows one front and one rear. They are still a little wet hence the darker spots. After 4 track days I flipped sides.
I'm just getting into black run group times at Lime Rock 1:05 - 1:07 and there is plently more in the car and tire. It's mostly me getting used to turning in later and braking at max theshold and then getting back on the power. Its sounds so simple.
I'd reccommed the Nitto's. They heat up quickly. Stay relatively consistent and talk to me if I do something stupid. At my skill level I can't notice a big change as of yet.
What you do notice is if you get the tire pressure wrong. I ususally start at 30-31 lbs cold all around and I'm looking for 35 hot front and 38 hot rear. If you get more than 40 lbs in the rears they get real slippery. Once I bleed back to 35/ 38 they stay from session to session. As I get faster during the day I often have to bleed back to 35/38 hot and obvioulsy I'm starting to work the tire a bit more.
The wheels are the new CCW T10. Standard 8.5 /11 with factory offset.
Wish I could get just one more track day this year but I just can't seem to find the time...

Since that thread I started I have added another 15 HC's!!! Set some of my fastest laps in the last two events![rockon](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/rockon.gif)
They "might" have one more weekend on them before they are done. Still soft rubber and WELL WORTH buying these over the cups, etc..
Basically the same cost for these and the cups. Cups get about 16 HC's then done. These Nitto's you can run til they cord!
I can post up some pics if them now at approximately 50 HC's......just let me know.

Dell,
How do your lap times @ HC 50 compare to HC 1-10???

Dell can you post some pics of those tires and how they look at this stage in their life cycle?
Have you got to the point where there is only a band around the tires or beyond that where they look like slicks? I'm wondering how much life they have, if any, when they are slicks.

Thanks Dell.
Has anyone worn a set out yet? This is my first set and I use them for everything -- street, track, to the track, back from the track, autocross, plowing, gardening, I mean everything and I still haven't worn them out, but I'm at the point where the right side fronts are slicks. I'm wondering how much more life they have at this point. They are great tires and seem to be getting better as they wear.

From what I hear you can run them til they cord! If you are wearing down one side make sure your alignment settings are where they need to be as well you can swap sides. I swap sides all the time. VIR causes my left side to take a beating so I have to swap L to R and R to L after every event to even out wear. With proper camber settings now I am able to get really nice uniform wear across the tire and swapping gives me uniform depth wear.

Yea, I've flipped them on the rim, but the last two events have been in the counter clockwise direction. My next event is as well, so I have to swap sides, but it's a three day event and even with the slicks on the left side, I wonder if I'd make it through the event, hence my quesion of how much life after they are slicks.

Here ya go! 2 pics of the front and 2 of the rear.
I actually think there is easily 1 more event. You can run these suckers until they cord. As of now, there is NO sign of cording and the depth holes have at least 2/32"

Mine are almost at the same stage.
