After being collected, I will not track without a HANS again. If I can afford the car I can afford the HANS. It took 6 months to fix the neck and after a year it still acts up.

Question here, say your running something like the Sparco Torino which is a reclining street seat but with shoulder belt holes. If you mount the ASM somewhere behind the seat (properly) and route the straps through the "pivot point" as it were between the seat back and the bottom would this meet the new PCA DE requirements for running 6 points?

IPSC
In the Northeast region of the PCA this will not work because we would insist on the "proper routing" of the sub strap through the seat (we mean through a hole provided by the seat supplier for the purpose of directing the substrap to the floor -- not uselessly routed either in front of or behind the seat squab). Interestingly our rules do not proclude a reclining seat but good luck finding a recliner that accomodates a 5/6 point harness.

G - I don't remember if you already bought yours, but HANS is finally coming out with a less expensive version for 2008. It will sell for $695.

Austin: Thanks, I have had it for 18 months or so. Coming down next week. I plan on stopping in TRG and picking up the suspension bits. Do you still get the commission?

Glad to hear, I was thinking you already had one. I hope everyone realizes it's in their best interest to wear their safety gear and use it correctly.

Anyway, no more comm's for me, just good vibes. Thanks though. I know you'll like the difference with those new components, it will feel more crisp and predictable.

Worth every penny. Like most safety items you do not know until it is used..... What moved me to spend the money was talking with people that crashed and were thankful they made of effort.
