Default FS: Rear toe links for 996 GT3

Bought these from Scott last weekend but I decided to go with Porsche OEM cup parts instead so don't need them anymore. Never installed by me but Scott said he had them for 1500 miles(see the link). Would sell it for what I paid, $300.

Cheers,

Ken, why did you decide against them? I went with the TRG toe arms over the PMNA ones for the reason of simplistic adjustability (2 lock nuts loosen, turn turnbuckle). Just curious.

huh? you do realize that the TRG toe arms are made for the same purpose of replacement of the oem ones? they are designed to address those toe changes under accel, decel, cornering, etc, the car is prone to have resulting in bumpsteer situations.

There are several choices out there that address that problem.....TRG, PMNA, Tarett, etc.

A friend of mine can get me a real toe-links from RSR with a discount so I thought I should invest in those instead.

PMs replied.

Dell, I'm not going to max out my car with lots of modifications like you. Just looking at the scene as "new parts from PMNA with discount > used aftermarket part".

Has anyone tried the GMG rear toe kits vs the TRG or Tarrett? GMG's kit is $595 vx $490 for TRG?

Nope

You have to check this up better

The toe links with bumpsteer fix has spacers so you can adjust the angle....

Rickard....not going to argue with you. Apparently you do not fully understand what bumpsteer is and what the various toe arms replacements purposes are. Each of the various ones available (TRG, Tarret, ERP, PMNA, etc.) all have their plusses and minuses as far as adjustability simplicity and degree of adjustment. Regardless, they are ALL designed to eliminate as much bumpsteer as possible over the oem toe arms that are very prone to bumpsteer situations.

Obviously you have your favorite (as do most on the board) and will defend a specific one to the end. However, in the end, they are all designed to address the bumpsteer issues.

Or you do not understand what bumpsteer is, ,becuse i know exaktly what it is..

And the only one adressing the bumpsteer problem is ERP and the one above, all others is just a monoball solution that do not flex and if you like you can remove the exentric and like tarrett have done wiht there exentric removal kit, that will help bumpsteer but the ulimate solution is a ERP or the Cup one above with spacers...

If my expalenation is not good enuff check with NJ-GT and he will expain it better for you

Some good info from a search

- GT3 Cup Toe links with 10mm spacers to eliminate as much bump steer as possible. New eccentric bolts, washers and nuts. Max-out towards rear toe-out with the eccentrics, and set the desired Toe-in with the new link.

-Cost, around $1,000. These units are monoball at both ends, triple tread, and double 5mm spacer rings for bump steer reduction.

-These ones have double tread, the tread on the inner section is a fine tread, it allows a precise adjustment. Bump steer can be dial-out with the 5mm spacers. They are not cheap.
