Default Time for new shoes

Back from SCCA track day at NHIS Monday. Time to talk about new tires. Orignial PS2 on car with 9000miles and 4 track days. (Got greasy in the afternoon). So thinking about dedicated track rim/tire set up. Do I try the sport cups on a new set of wheels (please suggest wheels)? Or stick with a new set of PS2s until I get a few more track days under my belt?

You should search this forum for many discussions on wheels. I recommend Forgeline ZX3-Rs (I had the previous model SX3-Rs), or CCWs, which I have now. Neither of these have the name recognition of BBS, Fikse, HRE, ..., but, IMO, are as good at a better price.

Volk TE-37's. Tire Rack. Keep the PS2's you have on the OEM wheels for street rubber and wet track days. They would be fine for both for a while probably.

As to what to put on the Volks that would depend on how comfortable you feel coupled with what a few instructors think regarding going to a MPSC tire or similar track tire.
