Well, the 4# in the rear I can understand b/c of the variance in size (295 v 315) but the fronts are just a variance of 10mm and still have 4# to explain. Sure would be nice if Nitto would publish the weights. I didn't think to wiegh them BEFORE they went on the wheels.
My scale reads in .5# increments so the 1# could have very easily been my weight-(my weight plus the wheel in my arms).
Oh well. The Nitto's do have some weight on them but damn their nice on the track. I just need to get some lighter track wheels. Only problem is I just bought the 2nd set of OEM wheels and had them painted black. I'm already into those wheels for some $$$. Maybe my wife will approve a set of wheels instead of decorating the room for the baby due in November

hehehe.....Chris, it's not your fault. I'll just have to figure out what I want to get and then see if there is a market for black OEM wheels. I'll have to wait at least until I use up these Nitto's before I make any decisions since I only have 1 weekend on them.

Jon, your BBS weigh 38 and 42 with Cup tires? Wow. If you subtract out the Cup tire weights of 22f/25/r your wheels weigh 16f/17r. The Volk's I just ordered are 18/20 and those are light. Which BBS did you get? Magnesium? What cost? I'm just curious, seeing my Volk's are "in the mail".

They have some cosmetic scuffs but are straight and true otherwise. Since they are track wheels only, I decided I could live with the marks for that price and weight savings.

Jon, I have 3 sets of BBS Mags, they were aboyt $5000 per set, but they are very light and very strong. I have run over a few curbs on the track and only managed to bend a few rim halfs which were fixed for a few hundred a piece. Before the BBS, I ran Enkei RC-5's which are just like the Volks and I found that they bend easy and since they are once piece, not repairable. I moved to the BBS after a slide into the gravel at summit point bend all 4 in one shot. Stick with a good set of 3 pcs wheels for the track. The extra cost up front is worth the return in the long run.

Do it!
This is a no-brainer.

I am sure I could be persuaded if I got the right offer. Don't need to make money on the deal but I certainly don't want to lose any. Any takers?
