Carlsen emphatically told me they do not do them.

Try a mechanic from the PCA's list

I used CT Automotive in Campbell (south bay) for my PPI, was pleased.

I got the same asnwer from Carlsen when i asked a few years ago.
They told me to go to Modderman in mountain view. (this was for a C2 Cab, not a GT3 though)
Other Dealers like Sonnen in Mill Valley do PPI's so im not sure Carlsens issue ?

Personally to me it makes sense that a dealer would not want to do PPI's. I imagine that a very high percentage of Porsche owners will sell their Porsche to upgrade to a new or newer Porsche.
As a dealer I would not want to give a bad bill of health to car if I hoped the owner would then come to me to purchase his next car after it sells.
I also would not want a car that I had serviced to come to me for a PPI and not have the car pass. How would that make me look?
Also I would assume there is a certain amount of liability assumed by the dealer when they make a determination regarding a used vehicle. Implied, not legally. If you PPI a car and pass it and then 2 months later the engine fails, the dealer doesn't want to be in them middle of that situation.
One more thing I can think of is. A dealer would rather have you trade in your car, than PPI it for someone else that is making more money on the sale of it.
Just my take on the situation.

I would go with one of the following:
Modderman in Mt. View
Reitmeir's Werkstatt in Los Altos
GD Racing in San Bruno
If you really want to use a dealership, Sonnen is probably your only choice.
What happened to Devek, they were doing a lot of ppi's before?
