Picture Request: Tequipment 4 Point Roll Bar...

I have been told by someone who has the non-cross brace bar that it does stiffen the car a little. Not a lot of people have this bar, so it may be hard to find a lot of pictures. But the four legs are essentially the same shape as the one with the cross brace, so just imagine charlesml3's picture without the horizontal and the diagonal bars.
Also FYI, I just noticed that Carlsen Porsche currently has a surprisingly good price on the non-cross brace bar.

May I ask what is the point of getting that bar pictured since it doesn't even have the harness bar portion on it? I don't even see it as a roll over protection thing but more like roll over to your head when it does. I can see with the cross brace and the harness bar helping with taking the stresses of a roll over but I would see that thing(minus cross and harness) just bend like Beckam to your head. And for get putting neone back there that tie to the rear seat area would have head cave in around it. Regards. Mike

Adrien, totally agree. Personally I would never install it nor do I see the purpose of it. You can't use the rear and if you want to install harnesses you are sans bar. Doesn't make sense.

There aren't a lot of good functional reasons to go with the non-cross brace bar, although I have considered it myself. Rationale was that for light track duty, I was not going to harnesses yet; it would add some marginal safety; I could mount a video camera to it; and I would still be able to relatively easily store gear and stuff into the back area.
In the meantime, I'm using euro GT3 seats with stock 3-pt belts, and figured out a way to strap a bullet cam onto the belt hoop of the seat. So I figured it would be a bit of a waste as an "intermediate" step since I'll either go with the full roll bar/harness setup at some point or won't get there.
