No squeal...no howl...like I mentioned I think I was a little inpatient for them to get to temp but overall, not too bad.

I'm glad to hear that you liked the 97's. Let me know what the performance is like next time out. I would hazard to say that the perfomance in the first session wasn't a temperature issue but a bedding issue.

I totally agree which is why even though I was told they had been bedded in...I attempted to do it again myself...obviously not completely occuring until 2nd session.

As another data point of Pagid vs PFC I will give you guys feedback after this weekend. I am instructing for the Peachtree Chapter BMWCCA drivers school at Road Atlanta. I have ran the Pagid RS-19s before on my car but I am upgrading to the PFC 01s this weekend. I will let you guys know what my impression of them compared to the Pagids is.

Thanks Seth, I'd be very interested in knowing. Specific things to note are consistency and modulation, especially at the end of the braking zone.

No problem Larry, I will be sure to note those things and give the report sometime by Sunday night. After that I am off to Sebring.

Sorry I was not able to explain in a way that would help you. I am sure that Seth can give you a much better description of the pads.

I do like them better than the RS-14s and as I mentioned, I do not have experience with the 19s or 29s.

Look forward to the report Seth.

Great thread !!! I think of it this way... you are balancing a ~ 3000 dynamic load on four friction/traction patches... with changing conditions !!!

Amazing how quickly the human brain computes. Kinda like striking a golf ball on a windy day... with a six iron... and putting the ball within two feet of the pin.

What did Larry discover about the PFC's ?

Are any of you Porsche guys using Carbotech pads ? If so, any comments?

I didn't run them because I didn't have enough time to learn the track as it was. I'll try them at the HVC event at the Glen. I'll know exactly how they perform there, and I'll have the time to run them back to back.

Larry, it'll be a long trip back to Braselton for dinner if you don't prefer the PFC pads.
