Default Roland Kussmaul settings

These settings have been posted a number of times, including in a side-by-side comparison to the settings in the workshop manual. That comparison had, I think, two errors. It showed rear camber as -2.3º 50' ± 5' (I think the 50' is extraneous) and toe per rear wheel as +35' ± 2' (I think that is total rear wheel toe).

I think the proper table is attached, but I would be happy to have any corrections!

What really surprises me is that the RK settings have total rear toe of 35' ± 2' where the workshop manual has 13' ± 2' per wheel. That is an increase in rear toe from the original workshop manual setting of 10' ± 5' per wheel. Why does RK increase rear toe so much more than the increased workshop manual setting?

Note also that the RK setting for front total toe is +5' without any ± number. The original workshop manual setting was +5' ± 5' but it was later increased to the current +8' ± 2'. In this case RK is returning to the original setting.

EDIT: I revised the attchment to accord with what Robert T. Rouleau (thanks, Bob!) actually got from Kussmaul.

Hey Chuck,
Come by anytime, let me know in advance and we can arrange wine tasting also (there's a tasting room located in the race shop, true story!). The new Petaluma facility is way more accomodating than our old paddock garage at Infineon, the parking availability is worth it on its own! We'll be hosting a GT3 Owners Gathering this year when the weather begins to get predicatable again.

The address is:
1995 S. McDowell Blvd.
Petaluma, CA 94954

I've to call Jon to see who he would recommend me from now on. Definitely it has to be a Race Shop.

Farnbacher-Loles up in Danbury, CT is a great shop, and Spencer *** is such a nice guy.
Thanks, NJ
I didn't want to narrow the area too much as to make it too limited.
Farnbacher-Loles is about a 300 mile trip for me, so I'm thinking about having the car towed to Danbury.

Thanks

Pete

Who in San Diego are you having do the alignment? Just curious if you've found a good shop that really knows how to properly align these cars.

Thanks

Steve

Cosmos also has a good deal of experience with having his car set up in San Diego area, might PM him for a referral?

Austin...I need to see you also...I have a GT2 that feels very loose around the track. Can I bring the car to you to diagnose and fix the problem? I'm in the East Bay

I went to Tim at Mind Over Motorsport in the Kearney Mesa/Mira Mar area. He used to crew for Alex Job Racing and was recommended to me by a guy I used to kart with. I believe Cosmos has used him before as well.

Hey Ed,
You can email anytime or call during the day and we can discuss, we'll need to know some info from the current set up (street/track/sport/race etc). and what you want to get from the car near term and long term. From there we can schedule and have it ready for the new season.

Thanks,
Austin

You picture does not show a splitter. Do not run hard without one. I suggest Synergy and Body Motion on the East coast in addition to the other shops mentioned above.

I suspect your handling problems at alignment. Check camber and toe in.

There is a splitter there, you may not see it because the avatar is of low pixel count.

No one out there believes it may be a loose sway bar?
