any suggestions for aftermarket wheels for 997 gt3 or stay with factory wheels?

I've just ordered a set of HRE C20's in 18's for my 996 GT3 in full polish. Those wheels in pics will look simular as the rear will have a step on the lip. HRE reduced the price recently on these wheels so the polish is no additional charge from the reg black or grey. Will have them after the new year. Post pics after they are installed.

having said that, the only wheels i'd change them for are ones that both kept the motorsports "look"-- which therefore points to the classic BBS racing wheel look--, as well as resulted in performance gains (i.e. lighter).
so... that leaves the Manthey forged magnesium BBS's, that have just been made available in 19's. bloody expensive though!

The wheels in the picture are most likely Champion RG5 wheels. Champion is one of the largest, if not the largest, Porsche dealer that also has a wheel operation. They are lightweight forged wheels and many dealers in the Dallas area carry them. Generally, they retail for $1,000 to $1,500 per wheel.
Another wheel to consider is Forgeline. They also are forged wheels. They are somewhat less expensive than Champion. They make a race wheels and street wheels. You can order direct from them. You can order Porsche hub centers for any of their wheels in the finish of your choice.
I have heard some negative comments about HRE wheels regarding wheel failure during racing stresses. Great looking wheels though.
Hope this helps.

They are either Gemballa Racing 3-piece, Cargraphic Racing, FVD Racing or FVD Daytona. Most likely the FVD Daytona.
