Default GT3-RMS

My car has developed a moderate oil leak and I took it into the selling dealer this am. I've been informed I have a RMS leak. I didn't think this happened with the GT3. The car has 4600 miles of easy driving.

I had one too. No big deal. Dealer put in a new seal and it hasn't leaked a drop 12k miles later.

Edit: I see you did the crankcase vent mod. That could be why you have a leak now.

Just had front main seal replaced. A very slight leak. Nothing since. Was told that front main leak was more common in gt3 than carrera. Has anyone heard that before? It was news to me.

Modoc,
That where mine was leaking, front main seal. I checked my garage floor today and I don't think more than a tablespoon of oil leaked out.

I had the leak at 39,000 miles. Front seal very quick fix. Larry: I was instructed to upgrade seals with the breather due to pressure changes. The advice came from an ALMS engineer.

Why do they call it the rear main seal when it is in the front of the car and call it the front main seal when it is in the rear of the car?

Maybe because a 911's drivetrain is backwards from every other car

Consider the lightweight flywheel when the seal is replaced.
